Allen Integrated Assemblies (AIA) is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer. The Associate
Manufacturing Engineer is a key role in the AIA operation and is part of results driven team. In this role,
you will work with the customer and the internal team to provide manufacturing documentation needed for the building of the assemblies. This position will sit in the manufacturing environment at Allen Integrated Assemblies located in Macungie, PA. The hours are based on production which are 7:30am to 4pm Monday through Friday. This is an onsite position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, based on the customer
requirements for plant employees to use in the assembly process. - Create drawings as needed in conjunction with the work instructions.
Interpret customer documentation on how to build the product so that the work instructions are
created accurately for the building process. - Communicate with customers regarding corrections or changes to the design/assembly of the
product. - Act as the liaison between the customer and the internal team as relates to changes and
corrections to products or general questions/inquiries from both parties. - Participate in client site visits including meeting the customer, doing a tour with the customer, and
asking questions/answering questions with the customer. - Calculate labor estimates on all new assemblies produced by AIA.
- Initiate and finalize Customer Change Orders (COOs) using the proper paperwork for such
changes. This process includes completing the analysis on the impact of the change to cost and
delivery requirements. - Develop new product structures from new or existing customers and enters the information into
the ERP system. - Act as back up to the Customer Account Program Manager, if needed.
- Must follow all safety rules and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the
department. This will include at a minimum safety glasses and coat for the cleanroom for

Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Electronics or related technical field with 0-2 years’ experience is preferred
or 5 years direct experience in this role or a related role in lieu of an associate’s degree. - Knowledge of engineering concepts, manufacturing, and production standards.
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- Experience in team-based environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in team-based environment is preferred.
- Experience in electronics is preferred.
- Experience using an ERP is helpful but not required.

Quality Inspector
Quality Inspector examines finished electronic assemblies for defects, notifies assemblers when errors are present and records data required per department standards.
Job Duties:
- Ability to perform visual inspection/ examine circuit assemblies including soldered connections.
- Experience with cable assembly includes crimping of connectors
- Identify defects on the completed assemblies per electronic standards.
- Perform simple math and understand percentage concept.
- Must be detail oriented and able to concentrate during visual inspection.
Physical Requirements:
- Good visual acuity and ability to decipher colors is required during visual inspection.
- Be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Ability to sit and stand during the shift.
- Read and follow work instructions.
- Some occasional light lifting is required: 5-23 lbs.
Education & Experience:
- Knowledge of IPC-610 standards & IPC-620 inspection.
- Some experience working with electronics or printed circuit boards.
- Electronics certification, vocational school training or military training is helpful.
- Computer utilization – email, Word or Excel.
